December 2005 - Goals & Projects

Global Healing Center of Montreal

 

Mission:        

To define health, so as to include enjoyment of life

in addition to absence of symptoms or disease.

 

To include:   

the Physical, Spiritual, Intellectual and Emotional

aspects of each individual.

 

To study:      

foods and recipes, exercise and rest,

medicines and treatments, work and recreation.

 

To gather:    

and share  computer, audio, visual and literary

files, disks, downloads and publications.

 

To highlight:        

clinically-proven, peer-reviewed conclusive findings

in double-blind studies published in medical journals

from established and recognized

educational and governmental institutions.

 

Focus:            

Spring 2005 - Food and Nutrition

 

Goal:             

To gather information on Canadian Foods,

using the Canadian Food Guide to healthy eating as a model.

To collect Food Guides from other countries,

and gather and share the synthesis of information in a publication.

 

Study:            

To follow food products life cycles,

we study the seed/source,

the medium and conditions of growth,

the geographic location,

the fertilizers and/or pesticides that are used or not used,

the quality control testing and their results,

potential toxicity/danger or absence thereof in processing,

packaging, labelling, transportation and distribution.

 

Variety:        

Including, for example, recipes for juicing, techniques for sprouting,

guidance in taking pharmaceuticals, neutraceuticals and supplements,

information  on herbs, roots and indigenous vegetation,

and traditional medicines from each continent, country and culture.

 

Research:      

To study the potential health benefits as well as

the potential dangers associated with the proposed solutions.
